Providing Support for local businesses to Flourish
Jobs. Jobs. Jobs. They are the backbone of every community. You can love your schools, friends, church, and neighbors but if you can’t find work, you might have to leave. Nothing can hurt a community more than consistently loosing job opportunities.
That is why Anthony Williams, a small business owner himself, works every day to protect the jobs of his community, search for new opportunities, and make it easier to start a business. Local businesses keep our money local, keep us connected, sponsor our non-profits, and provide something to strive for in our youth.
Mayor Williams has a record of working with other elected officials to protect the future of Dyess Air Force Base. He has a record of creating public/private partnerships to revitalize downtown. He has a record of making sure we have safe streets to drive on. He has a record of supporting tourism and being a fantastic cheerleader for our community. And he has a record of working on behalf of businesses, workers, and non-profits to make sure the government is working for them.
Strong economies and strong communities work hand-in-hand, that is why Mayor Williams works to make sure Abilene’s economy has everything it needs to grow.
